Why public sessions?
Libre softwares are said to be of a difficult access, written by programmers and hackers for themselves and their fellows.
Nonetheless, libre softwares are gaining popularity. Their qualities, the philosophy which presides their conception and their bettering, interest an always increasing audience which is no longer made of specialists.
The goal of these public sessions is to allow people who are not necessarily programmers to discover what gains libre softwares can bring them in the professional and home areas, as well as what themselves can bring to libre software. These public sessions will take place on the campus of the Université Bordeaux I. To get there, please look at the practical information. Entrance is free. Registration is mandatory only if you wish to participate in practical workshops. In order to reach the largest audience, most presentations will be made in French.
