Motivations
While libre software can liberate over 200 million users of proprietary solutions today, it is thru libre telephony that an additional 1.8 billion people may be liberated world-wide.
Project developpement has recently commited to a developpement model that uses a set of tools designed for communication and cooperative work. These tools allow communities creations and animations, project management. Hosting plateforms on the Internet of these tools, have became the place where every Libre development and Libre developer must be.
There are many different people and groups working independently on telephony or communications related libre software projects world-wide, and our goal is to gather as many as possible in one place, both to educate the rest of the community on the latest developments in this area, as well as to provide a forum where various project leaders can co-ordinate their efforts efforts more effectively.
